CB10T Adhesive
This high performance unfilled thixotropic structural epoxy adhesive is used for timber engineering where there is a requirement for a fast setting adhesive with excellent structural performance.
Rotafix CB10T is a thick film adhesive that cures without the need for pressure or additional heat being applied during the cure, this makes it an ideal adhesive for on site construction as no specialist equipment is required.
Rotafix CB10T Adhesive is an epoxy structural adhesive used extensively for :-
- Bonding rods and plates into timber engineering repairs, such as Timber Resin Splice
- Strengthen upgrading timber using bonded in flitch plates
- GluLam delamination repairs using rods.
- Construction in wood
- Structural Joint Glue
- Moment resisting joints
- Stressed skin floors
Rotafix CB10T is a solvent free, thixotropic epoxy adhesive which can be applied horizontally or vertically. There is negligible slump so working overhead or in side slotted substrates is not an issue.
Rotafix CB10T epoxy adhesive can also be used for Concrete and Masonry repairs and performs well in brick, block or stone work. CB10T can be used for crack stitching masonry where cement based products are inappropriate

Fast setting with excellent structural performance
This high-performance, unfilled thixotropic epoxy adhesive is ideal for timber engineering, offering fast setting and strong structural performance.
Rotafix's strengthening techniques were invaluable to the project by ensuring the complex remained open throughout the repair works and the aesthetic of the exposed timber frame was retained.

How to use
Add the total contents of the hardener container to the base container. Mix the pastes thoroughly using a flat end palette knife.
Place the Follower-plate onto the surface of the mixed material, ensuring it fits parallel in the tub with the outer and central lip pointing upwards.
Cut the seal from the front end of the cartridge sleeve. Place the back of the cartridge vertically and centrally over the hole in the follower plate.
Press the cartridge firmly and continuously down onto the follower-plate until the follower-plate bottoms on the mixing tub base. Carefully remove and invert the now full cartridge.
Screw on the front injection nozzle plus any chosen injection tube assembly. Finally, insert the rear plunger.
Where applicable, install the full cartridge of CB10T Structural Adhesive into the injection gun.
Alternatively, for spreader application as an adhesive, dispense directly from the cartridge without the aid of the front nozzle or injection tube.

FAQs

What are resin repairs and what are they used for?
Resin repairs are used to repair or strengthen timber within a building. Our adhesives, grouts and mortars are workable to pump, pour and mould and can be used for a whole range of repairs due to their versatility. They are mostly used within structural timber repairs because of its strength and non-porous composition that makes a tight bond with any timber elements. Damp affected timbers soon start to rot and lose their structural integrity, therefore, it is important to remove affected timbers and rebuild the structure. Timber resin repairs can offer a cost-effective solution by repairing only the damaged area instead of replacing the whole timber structure.
What types of repairs are there?
For structural timber repairs there are several types of repairs we may suggest. After speaking to one of our technical experts, we will assess which of these repairs will be the most effective to solve the property problem. Some of the most common types of repairs for structural timber damage include:
- Solid Resin
- Timber Resin Splice (TRS)
- Crack and Shake Repair
- Joinery & Cosmetic
How do I know if I need timber resin repair?
The truth is, you may find it difficult to identify whether you need a timber resin repair. If you have noticed rot affected timber within your property, then it’s clear that the affected area needs to be treated. Using timber resin repair systems is one of our rot repair options, but it should only be specified by a professional property surveyor.
If you believe that you have structural timber damage, please call and speak to one of our technical experts to assess the problem and identify the most effective course of action.
What types of repairs are there?
Resin has long been used for structural timber repairs because of the benefits it provides and its effectiveness in timber repairs. Some of the benefits of resin repairs are:
- They minimise disturbance – Using resin repair means that you can retain existing ceilings and floor fabric but still make an effective repair to the structural timbers. Many other types of timber repair will involve demolishing much more of the property to get access for the repair, often leaving the property uninhabitable for longer and costing more for the repair.
- Keep your building in use – With other types of repair whole sections of a building are often exposed and unable to be used. A resin repair will only need to expose the localised area.
- Retain the structure – Resin repairs aim to save the existing timber through repair of the rot affected timber only.
- Durability – Resin is resistant to moisture and therefore minimises the chances of a future fungal attack.
- Match exposed timber profiles – Ornate exposed structural timbers can be repaired to match the existing profile.
