Rotafix Carbon Fibre Reinforced Plastic (CFRP) composite technology has been specifically manufactured for Rotafix to meet our requirements to ensure compatability with our adhesives.

Rotafix Carbon Fibre Plate is a unidirectional carbon fibre strip  designed and pultruded with a high volume fraction of carbon fibre in a vinyl ester matrix making it high strength.

The advantage of using our carbon profiles over Glass Fibre Reinforced Plastic or steel  is that they are lighter and have a higher modulus and lower density with greater stiffness and strength and a surface finish. The surface of the Rotafix Carbon fibre is the same on both sides and provides a rough key to assist the grab of the adhesive.

Rotafix Carbon Fibre Plate comes with a removable plastic film protecting the surface of the plate, keeping it clean from dirt and grease which is essential for a high-performance connection.

Carbon fibre CRP strip profiles are typically stocked in 5-metre lengths in black. Longer lengths are available upon request.* 

The prime uses of CFRP in Rotafix are the Rotafix Resiwood methods of joining timber with epoxy adhesives but it can also be used to upgrade the strength of concrete structures and to reinforce beams in tension.
