Rotafix Glass Fibre Plate (GFRP) composite technology has been specifically manufactured for Rotafix to meet our requirements to ensure compatibility with our adhesives.
Rotafix Glass Fibre Plates are pultruded with a high volume fraction of unidirectional fibreglass in a polyester matrix to BS EN 13706 specifications.
The advantage of using our GRP rods is that they have excellent mechanical properties with a smooth surface finish.
Rotafix Glass Fibre Reinforced Rods are lightweight, strong and durable, and suitable in all climates and temperatures. They are inert with respect to the timber that they are commonly inserted into and are not affected by oxidation, corrosion or decay.
The prime uses of GFRP in Rotafix are the Rotafix Resiwood methods of joining timber with epoxy adhesives.
GFRP platess are excellent in tension and are often used to increase the load capacity of a beam where it is a requirement to increase the strength of the parent timber.
Rotafix Glass Fibre plates are supplied in 1.25m lengths but are easily cut to length using a hacksaw.
